If there is a lower rate available for the same room, same dates and the same hotel, you must contact Worldres.com (the operator of PlanetRooms.com) within 24 hours of booking. "What are the requirements for claiming the Guaranteed Lower Rate?"

A: In order to be eligible for the Guaranteed Lower Rate:
  • WorldRes.com must be contacted within 24 hours of booking. Please do not contact the property directly.
  • The new lower rate must be for the same hotel on the same dates, and available for booking.
  • The reservation made at PlanetRooms.com must be a "Discount" rate.
Q: "If I am able to confirm a lower rate, how do I contact WorldRes.com?"
A: There are two ways to contact WorldRes.com.
  1. Send an email to support-discountchannel@worldres.com with the following information:
    • Confirmation Number
    • Your name
    • Hotel Name
    • Date(s) of stay
    • PlanetRooms.com rate
    • Hotel rate
    • Hotel contact
    • Your email
    • Your mailing address
    • Your daytime phone
    • Your evening phone

  2. Call 1-650-570-3422, extension 422 between the hours of 9:00am - 5:00pm, Pacific Standard Time, Monday through Friday. Be prepared to provide the information listed in option 1, above.
Q: "What is the turnaround time for adjustment or credit if I can find a lower rate?"
A: Cancellations are made immediately. Refunds checks will be processed within one week of check-out. WorldRes.com will verify that the consumer has actually stayed and used the reservation in question before issuing a refund check for the difference.

Q:"How is my credit issued?"
A: Credit is issued as a check mailed to the address you provide.

Q: "Who gets to decide which remedy I get, cancellation or refund?"
A: WorldRes.com, at its discretion, decides which remedy to grant to the consumer based on the cancellation policy of the property. For example, if the reservation can be cancelled without penalty, then this will be the remedy of choice.
